She’s good at achieving her goals…
College senior Sabrina James has her whole future planned out: graduate from college, kick butt in law school, and land a high-paying job at a cutthroat firm. Her path to escaping her shameful past certainly doesn’t include a gorgeous hockey player who believes in love at first sight. One night of sizzling heat and surprising tenderness is all she’s willing to give John Tucker, but sometimes, one night is all it takes for your entire life to change.
But the game just got a whole lot more complicated
Tucker believes being a team player is as important as being the star. On the ice, he’s fine staying out of the spotlight, but when it comes to becoming a daddy at the age of twenty-two, he refuses to be a bench warmer. It doesn’t hurt that the soon-to-be mother of his child is beautiful, whip-smart, and keeps him on his toes. The problem is, Sabrina’s heart is locked up tight, and the fiery brunette is too stubborn to accept his help. If he wants a life with the woman of his dreams, he’ll have to convince her that some goals can only be made with an assist.
❤ MY REVIEW ❤
I swear, this series just keeps getting better and better. The Off-Campus series is one of my most favorite New Adult/sports series ever. I have loved every book so far and The Goal was no different. I just love every one of these characters so much! When I read the last book, I was so shocked when I found out who Tucker’s woman was going to be, but after reading The Goal, am so happy Elle decided to go with these two.
Sabrina and Tucker are absolutely AMAZING together. They’re so different, yet they even each other out so perfectly. We have Tucker, he’s different than the rest of the guys in the series. He’s the bearded southern gentleman with a heart of gold. A guy who wants commitment. But don’t let Tuck’s gentlemanly manners fool you though because that man knows how to dirty talk. He knows how to dirty talk reeeeal well. I want to fan myself just thinking of some of the things he said! He’s pretty much PERFECT. Then we have Sabrina– she’s tough, hardworking, driven, feisty. She’s made goals for herself, goals in which don’t involve a relationship. I actually liked Sabrina a lot more than I thought I would. Even though I sometimes didn’t agree with her actions, I still understood where she was coming from.
I love Elle’s storytelling and writing. It’s impossible not to lose yourself in all of her stories. The Goal was super sexy (that Tuck is one hell of a dirty talker), fun, heartwarming, and emotional. I LOVED it. Fingers crossed for a Fitzy and Summer story!
